all other Turkic instruments there is some decoration.... … A divine light flashed from Heaven and swept over the Surkhan
land, and the silence covered surroundings, even the sparrows and larks stopped
to sing loudly, and horses bowing their heads were standing in silence, as the
whole world wa s being attracted by magnet melody and everything seem ed to be
harmonious.
Whoever, listening the melody felt that it was settling down in their
hearts, and flowing like emotional water in their veins, and they were
vacillating with pleasure, as if the melody wa s flowing from their souls , all
were enjoying from the melody, and were under its influence, which they didn“t
want to be out of those feelings….
The fingers were pla ying on the string, the sweet tunes were
penetrating to souls , the baby’s cries in the cradle, the mother’s lullaby is
sung loudly, the foals were neighing along the boundless latitude, larks were
frisking, quail was singing and the endless wheat fields, the grasses of lawns
were swaying in the wind, and the sense of spring like the unmistakable
laughter of the girls s cattered the fragrance of flowers.
Ba khshy’s fingers stopped play ing the dombra . But i
ts tune embodied in the sway of the winds, in the movement of clouds in the
sky, shivering of the rain, in the enjoyable stream of the flowing water, the
melancholy of the flowers and rustling of trees, in the horses’ neighs, and in
the shuffli ng of the lawn, and dombra’s tune which gave power to hearts, the
comfort to the soul, the healing the sick.
